September Wishlist

Happy Sunday night y'all!  Seriously still can't believe that September is well underway.  This year is going by so fast!! I've always loved September and fall in general because I love fall fashion and all things pumpkin flavored (Does anyone know when Trade Joe's will be releasing their pumpkin bread mix??).  Below are a few pieces that I've had my eye on (and a few I'll probably be lusting over for a while).

On a non fashion related note, this is the first year I have participated in Fantasy Football and now I am deeply invested in keeping up with the NFL...and we're only on week 1!  I have a feeling this is going to turn into a bad obsession of mine over the next 14 weeks...

Have a good week!

Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale Picks and Haul!

Hello Friends,

Was it just me or was this years Lilly sale one of the best ones yet?! (or maybe I'm crazy).  They had a huge inventory, lots of really good deals!

I love picking up pieces during the sale (I mean cute clothes at a discount...seems like a no duh.)  But in all seriousness I rarely purchase Lilly full priced for myself (usually once or twice a year for a special occasion) so I tend to go a bit ham during the sale.

Here are the items I've picked up so far (might go back for more...)

Unfortunately Most of my picks went quickly, only a few left in select sizes

But fear not!  If you skipped shopping this morning there are still things in stock.  Here are five of my favorites that are still in stock!

What did you get this year at the Lilly Sale?  Did you make a blog post?  If so share below!! I always love seeing what everyone else snagged!

Shop with me: J.Crew (new and sale!)

Is it just me or has J.Crew been killin it lately?  This compilation of things is possibly the most random (both new fall items and on sale summer items).  I think it reflects the fact that I am mentally ready for the weather to cool down, but outside physically it is still roasting hot.

Regardless here are some of my current favorites on sale at J.Crew right now.  Lots of great things to get your closet ready for fall (the blazers and the classic vest).  Don't forget to grab the perfect transition dresses and my personal staple: the classic chambray.

Wishlisted - August 2016

Is it just me, or does the hotter the summer weather gets, the more I anticipate the arrival of fall weather?  I've been dying to pull out my boots and sweaters, but until then I'll be craving some nice transition pieces, like the ones linked below.  Perfect styles for the remaining month(s) of warm weather, but they'll also be perfect for as we move into cooler weather this fall.

What is on your current wishlist?

Shop with me: Lilly Pulitzer Summer Collection

It has been a while since I have shopped at Lilly Pulitzer (99% sure it was the last sale in January).  Their winter and early Spring outfit collection didn't really speak to me, but then I went in store recently and fell in love with a few pieces (only picked up this dress though -- I'm seriously in love, the fit is so flattering and the patter is one of my new favorites!)

I tried on a few things, and saw a few old favorite dresses and tops in new patterns and I thought I would share some of my favorite picks

Plus lets not forget that the end of summer sale should be starting in the next few weeks or so (usually mid August).

Needless to say I have a feeling I know where my money will be going this month.  Some real struggles am I right?

Spring Blues

The color blue has always been a favorite of mine (right after pink).  I love wearing blue because it really makes my blue eyes pop.   The second I saw this chambray skirt at Madewell I knew I needed it.  I love it because not only is it soft and comfortable but its so flattering.  Anyone else remember the huge denim mini skirt trend back from 2005-2009ish.  It was huge at my school and I hated it (tight denim minis never were my thing).  This skater style though, totally me!

I paired it with an off the shoulder top from Topshop and my new bright pink Kate Spade Crossbody.  It was perfect for a weekend spent running errands.  And the weather that day was amazing too.  Super sunny and hot.

Shop with me: Spring Wishlist

Recently I have been craving warm weather wear.  Maybe it is because last week we had 2 days in the 70's and 2 in the 80's (sorry everyone on the east coast, I saw all the snow on my snapchat).  Lately I have been eyeing whites, and brights, sandals, and new sunnies that will be perfect for the warm weather that is coming to California.  Below I have a few styles that I have been eyeing lately.

Colorful Classic

The Month of March has never been a favorite for me, mostly because no matter where I lived March is such a dreary month.  The weather is transitioning so some days its nice, then others its dark, cool and windy.  The bright side is that fun and colorful spring clothing collections start coming out in all my favorite stores.  This particular popover shirt from J.Crew had me immediately.  I love the colors and the classic gingham print, that I know it will be a staple in my closet for years to come.  Also this shirt is currently on sale, which makes it even better!

Rainy Day

Sweater - Topshop // Leggings - Lululemon (similar and more affordable here) // Boots - Hunter // Necklace - Baublebar // Ring - Baublebar // Purse - Louis Vuitton (similar more affordable here and here)

Rain in California has been rare lately (we are in a drought after all), so when we had a bit of a downpour this weekend I was beyond excited to get to wear my brand new pink rainboots!  I snagged these on Gilt recently.  They have great deals, and unlike Rue La La lots of their items aren't a "flash sale", but rather they will leave items available until they run out of stock.   For this particularly rainy day spent running errands and shopping I paired my bright boots with cool neutrals, a Gray sweater and navy leggings.

As an FYI: I have had a black pair of hunter boots since I was a freshman in college (so over 4yrs).  They are great quality boots and are perfect for weathering rain and snow.  I personally prefer short boots over the tall ones, but you cant go wrong with either in my book.

Shop with me: Madewell

On a recent trip to my local mall I walked by Madewell and felt compelled to go inside.  Their display and entire store had me.  Not only that but their sale selection was full of perfect spring transition clothes that I am so excited to wear.  I only picked up 3 things (the denim skirt, sweater, and shirt) but here are bunch more that I wish I had picked up (and may go back for...)

What are your favorite pieces at Madewell right now?

Shop with me: J.Crew (new arrivals and Sale Styles)

J.Crew recently has been killing it.  I've been loving so many of their newer styles for spring and lots of their sale styles from their winter collections that are now going on sale.   So many cute and classic options and these are a few of my favorites right now that I have been eyeing.

February Favorites

1. Colourpop Lippie Stix: I'm not going to spend too much time one these because I have an extensive colourpop review coming soon, but these are worth all the hype they have been getting.  At such an affordable price point (only $5!) they are such a steal.  Long lasting and hydrating on my lips, all I can say is these are amazing.  My personal favorites are Aquarius, Lumiere, and Frenchie.

2. Hey Honey Take it Off Face Mask: I love face masks.  They are one of my favorite beauty products to use.  I received this product in my most recent Birchbox and I am obsessed.  It is a gentle exfoliating peel off mask.  It is super easy to use and leaves my face feeling super soft.

3. The Balm Desert Bronzer: This has quickly become my everyday bronzer.  It has a light shimmer (that on the skin is barely noticeable) and the color is perfect for warming up my face and defining my cheek bones.  All in all one of my favorite bronzers

4. Sephora Eye Mask (Green Tea, Ginseng and Honey are my favorites): Again I've been loving masks recently.  These Sephora fiber eye masks are so fun to use.  They are super easy to use (you just place them in the under eye area), leave them on for 10 or so minutes then pull off and rub excess liquid into your skin.  They smell nice, and make my under eye area feel hydrated, look brighter and overall nicer.  There are a variety of types and I love trying out new ones.

5. Wildfox Jumper/Sweatshirt: Another product that lives up to the hype.  These sweatshirts are SO FREAKING COMFY!  I could wear these every day they are that soft and comfortable.  I grabbed mine on Hautelook, but if you see one you really like go for it. (here, here and here are some of my current favorites and I love this one on sale!)

6. Real Techniques Makeup Brushes: Another super affordable beauty product, that work so well.  I've been loving my Real Techniques Makeup Brushes that I picked up from Ulta.  For the price the quality is fantastic.  They apply makeup just as well as my higher end brushes.  I highly recommend trying these out!

7. Fuller House: Yes this came out the end of February but I may have binged watched all 13 episodes in two days... whoops!  But if you were like me and grew up with Full House and loved that show you will very likely appreciate all the nostalgia that comes with this show.  And if you have never seen Full House but like feel good, slightly corny comedies you will love this show.  All 13 episodes are up on Netflix now.

Pretty in Pink

Pink has always been one of my favorite colors.  I love how fun and girly pink looks on.  I love this silk top I got during the Lilly Pulitzer sale this past January.  While it is sold out now I have linked a dress in the same pattern and a similar style top below.  I styled it with my favorite new jeans from Topshop. They are seriously the most comfortable pair of jeans I own.   This outfit is perfect for a casual Valentine's day dinner (or any dinner really)!

January Favorites

I finally got on the bandwagon of Topshop jeans (the ones with the holes in the knee) and oh boy am I glad!  Not only are these jeans so incredibly comfortable (like they make me reconsider wearing leggings everyday) but they also are super flattering.  Since their sizes are UK I sized up when I purchased and they fit perfectly!

Wasn't this product mentioned recently in another post?  Well I have had this concealer for the past two weeks and have been using it nonstop!  It is perfect for covering up everything, and it lasts all day without creasing (note I do set my concealer with this powder).

This has been my go-to everyday mascara.  It provides the perfect amount of definition for daytime wear, while still making my lashes long and curled.  Perfect for wearing to work, dinner, or out at night.

I received this in my January Birchbox and I have since fallen in love.  This eyeliner is so easy to use, and it is so easy to make simple wings with!  I was a little thrown off at first because the tip is pretty fat, but seriously I don't think I have ever owned a liquid eyeliner this easy to work with.

This primer hands down beats benefit POREfessional any day.  This one actually minimizes my pores and acne scars so I give it a huge thumbs up.

These are freaking amazing.  The scents alone.  Seriously go out to a lush and smell Prince Charming (their seasonal scent for Valentines Day).  I actually want to go back and purchase like 10 of them, it smells that good.  Lord of Misrule is a nice scent also, but I think that was a holiday seasonal scent so I am not sure if they still have it (my lush after Christmas was selling them as a BOGO deal).

This product is super basic but I received this over the holidays and. Have been loving it.  Mine is one of the smaller sizes (I think .75in) but I have been loving wearing this everyday as a simple addition to any outfit.

Hello Friends!  Today I am coming to you with another gift guide, this one filled with gifts under $25!  Incase you missed my last few holiday gift guides I have put up a $10 and under gift guide, and a Holiday Decoration Gift Guide

Lipstick, NARS Duo, Anastasia Brow Wiz).  if you have a friend who is not huge into makeup then I personally think you can't go wrong with a scarf or sweater (perfect for the season).

If you are still struggling finding those gifts for friends or family I hope this gift guide helps.  I'll be putting up more as the holiday season continues, so come back to see other ideas.

Perfect Thanksgiving Look

Dress - Anthropologie // Necklace - Kendra Scott // Shoes - Kate Spade (sold out, similar here and here) // Bracelet - Kate Spade

I love any holiday that revolves around food.  Any excuse to cook, eat, and spend time with loved ones is all day is everything that I need in a holiday, so clearly Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorites.    I also love any excuse to get a little extra dressed up for the holidays!  When I saw this dress at Anthropologie I knew it was perfect for Thanksgiving dinner.  I paired it with one of my favorite pairs of wedges, a statement necklace, and my favorite berry lip color from Too Faced (plus Too Faced Chocolate Bar on my eyes...aka the BEST smelling eyeshadow palette, what better way to get yourself in the mood to stuff your face with food, amirite?)

I hope everyone has a happy and festive Thanksgiving!
