Review: Zella Leggings

If you love wearing comfortable leggings in your daily life (as I do) then you should definitely try Zellas!  They are thick, comfortable, and very similar to Lululemon quality (but the best part is they are roughly 1/3 of the the price!!) Perfect for wearing to go workout or perfect for those lazy days when you don't want to wear jeans!   Zellas also come in many fun colors!  I get mine at Nordstorms (and they typically go on sale during the many sales Nordstroms have!)  I literally have about 4-5 pairs in my closet!

Life Hack: How to get make-up and deodorant stains out of clothing

Happy Sunday everyone!  This semester one of my roommates started working at a small boutique nearby on Newbury Street in Boston.  Doing so she has learned a couple of life hacks about getting makeup out of clothing (which has come in handy for me many times this semester!).  Its super easy too.  All you need to do is rub a cotton garment (either T-Shirt, leggings, underwear ect.) on the area that has the make-up or deodorant stain and voila the stain is gone!  Simple and easy!

Hope y'all find this trick useful!  Have a great Sunday!

September Recap

So first off I have been so incredibly busy the past two weeks!  Time has just flown by and I can not believe that it is already October (and that I have midterms coming in the next few weeks...YIKES!).  So since my life has been quite hectic I decided to do a September recap to discuss what I have been up to this past month (for any of you who are interested).

1. Finished my model UN conference!

This past year I have been on the Secretariat (basically a programming board) for my universities collegiate Model UN conference.  The conference was held last weekend, and I am very pleased to announce that everything went beyond perfect!  Delegates had a great time, committees ran smoothly, and everything turned out great!  It was so worth it to be part of this amazing conference and while I have much more free time I am sad that it is over!

2. Started my experience on my university's Panhellenic Council

Another great leadership role I have taken on this semester is being on the Panhellenic Executive Board (which is the governing body for Sorority life).  So far the experience has been amazing.  I have learned more about leadership, professionalism, and myself than I thought possible within the past month!

GO GREEK!!!!!

3. Begun the dreaded...Job Search

Seeing as I am graduating in a little over 200 days I have begun looking for potential job opportunities.  This is possibly the most daunting task I have thus taken on in my life.  Perfecting resumes, cover letters, and searching for opportunities has been scary to say the least.  I'll be working on this for the greater part of this school year, but hopefully all the work will pay off in the end (with a job ideally!).

4. Trying to enjoy my senior year!

With all the hard work I've been doing I have had to save some time for fun stuff!  It's my last year of college after all, so I've been trying to make time for friends and fun, while still staying on top of all my work.
Yummy Margaritas!

That wraps up my highlights of September!  I hope all of you had a great start to fall!

Fall leaves blooming already up in Boston!

My Current Accessory Obsession: Scarves

If you've been looking at my OOTDs on Tubmlr (if not be sure to check them out here) then you know I have a slight obsession (ok maybe a major obsession) with scarves lately.  Currently they are my go to accessory for dressing up a boring outfit.  If I'm being perfectly honest I'll have to admit that I usually spend roughly 10-15 minutes getting ready for class every morning (due to oversleeping...), and therefore I rarely put lots of time and effort into my outfit choices (unless I have a special occasion or meeting).  The result is usually a fairly boring combination of a shirt/sweater and either Jeans or Black leggings.  So recently I have been using my colorful collections of scarves to brighten up my outfits!  Here are some examples:

My favorite places to get scarves are J.Crew, Lilly Pulitzer, and my mom's closet (though harder to get some from there now that I'm in school...).  Also if you ever travel to Scotland be sure to pick up scarves their (in either traditional or not so traditional tartan patterns!)

Here are some cute fall scarves that you can transition to help brighten up your boring neutrals

Sweater Weather

Here in Boston the temperature has started slowing dipping lower and lower.  Today it was actually cold enough for me to wear a sweater outside!  I love wearing sweaters.  They are some of my favorite pieces to wear during the fall because they are so comfortable and easy to wear (my two favorite things in an outfit!).  My favorite places to get sweaters are Gap, J.Crew, Banana Republic, C. Wonder, and my mother's closet (for real though!  I steal sweaters from her every year!)

Here are some great sweaters that are on my radar this fall.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

One of my favorite parts of fall I have to admit (sorry for being basic) is Pumpkin!  Ever since I was a kid the day my local supermarket started stocking pumpkin pies i would beg my mom to bring one home for desert!  Well this year Starbucks brought out the Pumpkin Spice Latte early, and I have been loving it!  Recently I have been having fun mixing up Starbucks syrup combos with my PSL just to try a flavor change, here are a few of my favorites!

- In an Iced Latte have 3 pumps of Pumpkin and 1 pump of Cinnamon Dolce

-Iced or Hot 2 pumps of Chai and 2 pumps of Pumpkin

*Note I typically drink my Starbucks with less syrup than average, so you may need to adjust the flavors for your taste buds!

Happy Fall everyone!
