Graduation

I seriously can't believe that I graduated college last weekend!  I graduated from Boston University, with Bachelor or Arts degrees in Political Science and International Relations.  This whole week (and let's be honest the past 4 years) have been a total blur.  I feel like I was just a freshman, and now I'm looking for a real job and back in California.  My graduation weekend was everything I could have imagined and more.  The weather was perfect, and I was able to spend time with my friends and family.

Had so much fun decorating my cap!  I chose one of my favorite Dr. Suess Quotes (and the very necessary shout-out to Starbucks).

Of course I wore Lilly Pulitzer and Jack Rogers at all my ceremonies.  I picked out a teal dress (similar here) initially to wear for the all school ceremony, however in the morning I spilled water all down the dress and had to make a quick change into this old Lilly Pulitzer dress (similar here and here).  The other dress is from this season Lilly Pulitzer.

Congrats to everyone graduating this month (high school, college, and post-grad).

Nordstrom's Half-Yearly Sale

The Nordstroms Half-Yearly Sale is HERE! I shop at Nordstroms way to much if we are being honest, and their sales are the best.   I've been eyeing most of these shoes and accessories this past spring, and now is the perfect time to purchase.  Most items are 30% or more off.  Below are some of my picks from the sale.

Fitting Room Diaries

Hey all!  I love seeing other bloggers post photos of clothing they try on, so when I went shopping at Lilly Pulutzer and J.Crew today I decided I would do one.

For reference I am 5'6 and typically a size S/M or a 4 and a 36C.

This Deanna Romper in Scuba to Cuba I've been dying to try (especially after seeing Lucky Day Blog style it here).  This is in a size Medium.  It fit very loosely around my hips and bottom, but perfectly on top.

Tusk in Sun has been one of my favorite all time prints.  I was so excited they brought it back this year. This dress is a size M.  It's not too short or low cut, which is perfect for me.  The material is heavier than I expected too, so it would be perfect for a breezy summer day or as a spring transition piece.

Now on to J.Crew (ignore my mother trying on Birks in the background).  This tunic is PERFECT!  It's a medium, with a zipper in the back.  It's a good length and it fits on top perfectly.

This stripe shirt is a Medium and on sale!  It's a little short, a nice in between cropped and full length.

This neon shirt is in a Small.  Super soft material and I love the color!  Fits well, I just am not a fan of the "bro-tank/wifebeater" look.

This eyelet top (in Medium) was perfect!  I love the fit and how lightweight it felt.  It is the perfect summer tee.

Baseball Style with Fanatics

One of my favorite things about summer is baseball season.  I always try to go to at least one baseball game every summer, and watch many more on TV.  I've been a huge SF Giants fan for years, and love cheering my team on.

Here's a  look perfect for a baseball game, either professional, local, or even going over to a friends house to watch.  It's a perfect mix of team pride, while still having a cute and casual look.  A nice light top, fun shorts (these Lilly Pulitzer ones are perfect to match the Orange color of the SF Giants), and comfy casual shoes.  If I'm going to the ballpark I always grab a small crossbody bag that can carry just what I need, but isn't so large I'm lugging it around.  Don't forget sunglasses if the game is during a hot afternoon, and fun jewelry in your teams colors (I opted for a Kendra Scott necklace, they come in so many game day colors)!

Last but not least don't forget to grab your team's hat.  Fanatics is great for getting baseball hats and any other accessory perfect for going to a baseball game!  I of course picked out a SF Giants hat.  Orange and black isn't one of my favorite color combos (it always makes me think of Halloween). but I always wear it for Giants games.

Make sure to check out Fanatics to stock up on all your baseball game necessities: team koozie, mug,  jacket, jersey, blanket! They have everything you need for a perfect day at the ball park (except hot dogs).

What's your favorite ball game look?

*Thank you to Fanatics for partnering with me on this post*
*All opinions are my own*

Favorite Summer Shoes

Summer is just around the corner, so today I'm going to share some of my favorite summer shoes!  During the warm months you can usually find me sporting sandals (love my Jack Rogers) or Sperry boat shoes.  I've also included some other cute shoes that are perfect for warm weather.

Also side note Happy Cinco de Mayo!  I celebrated by eating nachos while writing a final paper.

What are your favorite pairs of summer shoes?
