One of my favorite Spring/Summer closet staples has to be the maxi dress. They are not only so comfortable to wear throughout the day, but they look stylish and sleek. I'm naturally drawn to all maxi dresses and I've rounded up a few affordable and high end options that I am lusting after. Fun bright colors, cool patterns, and florals make great pieces that you'll be grabbing for years.

Shop with me: Spring Wishlist
Recently I have been craving warm weather wear. Maybe it is because last week we had 2 days in the 70's and 2 in the 80's (sorry everyone on the east coast, I saw all the snow on my snapchat). Lately I have been eyeing whites, and brights, sandals, and new sunnies that will be perfect for the warm weather that is coming to California. Below I have a few styles that I have been eyeing lately.

Colorful Classic
Coat - J.Crew // Shirt - J.Crew // Jeans - A.G. // Purse - Louis Vuitton (similar and cheaper here) // Ring - Baublebar // Necklace - Baublebar // Shoes - Topshop
The Month of March has never been a favorite for me, mostly because no matter where I lived March is such a dreary month. The weather is transitioning so some days its nice, then others its dark, cool and windy. The bright side is that fun and colorful spring clothing collections start coming out in all my favorite stores. This particular popover shirt from J.Crew had me immediately. I love the colors and the classic gingham print, that I know it will be a staple in my closet for years to come. Also this shirt is currently on sale, which makes it even better!

Dr. Jart BB Cream Set Review
Hello Friends! I hope everyone had a great Monday. I am back with another beauty review post. Today I am talking about my new favorite BB Cream(s) from Dr. Jart. During my last trip to Sephora I picked up this little set of 4 BB Creams from Dr. Jart.
Dr. Jart is a Korean Beauty brand that has a range of skin care products. Their BB creams are one part Tinted Moisturizer, packed with other great skin care benefits. They have different types, all targeting different skin care concerns. The set I purchased contains four: Premium, Black Label Detox, Radiance, and Dis-a-Pore.
First off, I am a total sucker for sets (I blame my indecisiveness). They are nice because you get to try out different types of BB Balms, and see which works best for your personal skin concerns. I'll start by saying that they all achieved similar end goals, light and natural coverage. They all smoothed my skin out more than average and provided a nice glow. The Radiance BB Balm did give a more dewy look than the others, though I wasn't sure Dis-a-pore made my pores smaller than the Premium or Detox.
Pigmentation/Coverage: First off all but the radiance one come out of the tube looking ashy (grey). However they blend out beautifully. They have great coverage as far as a BB cream is concerned. Typically BB creams aren't as full coverage as foundations, but these actually covered up blemishes and the dark circles under my eyes. They give a natural looking coverage that makes my skin look very smooth
How it made my skin look throughout the day: Amazing! My skin didn't look oily at all, but even with highlighter it looked radiant and healthy. Blemishes were covered, redness corrected and it sat so well throughout the day. It also didn't cling to any dry patches (including the particularly difficult one on my nose that even hydrating foundations get patchy on). Overall I would give these a 10/10 for appearance and wear.
How it Felt: Super lightweight and natural. This product is perfect for someone who hates the feeling of makeup on their skin.
Any Cons?: The skin tone range is very limited. They have (at least at Sephora) two options, light-medium and medium-dark. Additionally between the Original and the Detox I didn't notice much of a difference other than the SPF number.
Conclusions: Price for size this set is great. You get 2 Fl. oz of product for $34, whereas a full size of each (1.7 fl oz.) is around the 36$ mark. My personal favorite to wear were the Radiance and Premium formulas, but dis-a-pore was nice as well. If you are in the market for a new BB cream I recommend checking out Dr. Jart.

Rainy Day
Sweater - Topshop // Leggings - Lululemon (similar and more affordable here) // Boots - Hunter // Necklace - Baublebar // Ring - Baublebar // Purse - Louis Vuitton (similar more affordable here and here)
Rain in California has been rare lately (we are in a drought after all), so when we had a bit of a downpour this weekend I was beyond excited to get to wear my brand new pink rainboots! I snagged these on Gilt recently. They have great deals, and unlike Rue La La lots of their items aren't a "flash sale", but rather they will leave items available until they run out of stock. For this particularly rainy day spent running errands and shopping I paired my bright boots with cool neutrals, a Gray sweater and navy leggings.
As an FYI: I have had a black pair of hunter boots since I was a freshman in college (so over 4yrs). They are great quality boots and are perfect for weathering rain and snow. I personally prefer short boots over the tall ones, but you cant go wrong with either in my book.

Shop with me: Madewell
On a recent trip to my local mall I walked by Madewell and felt compelled to go inside. Their display and entire store had me. Not only that but their sale selection was full of perfect spring transition clothes that I am so excited to wear. I only picked up 3 things (the denim skirt, sweater, and shirt) but here are bunch more that I wish I had picked up (and may go back for...)
What are your favorite pieces at Madewell right now?

Spring Stripes
Dress - J. Crew (from last fall, similar dresses here and here), flats - Topshop (similar more affordable here), Necklace- Baublebar (sold out, similar here), Tote - Louis Vuitton (cheaper alternative here)
One of the downfalls to San Francisco weather is that morning to night temperatures vary by roughly twenty degrees. When I arrive at work in the morning it could be in the 50's and by lunch it will get up to the 70s. Lately I have been leaning towards sweater dresses to deal with the constant weather changes as they are perfect to keep me warm in the mornings but also easy to keep cool in in the afternoon. This striped one has to be one of my favorites. Not only is it the perfect material and length to wear to work, but navy stripes are a timeless staple. I paired it with leopard lace up flats for work, and I think they compliment each other well. My exact dress and shoes appear to be sold out, but I found extremely similar items, which I have linked below (exact same topshop shoes, just in solid black, and then similar leopard dupes).
